The 90-minute concert begins with the "Light" of Creation and Christ's birth and ministry. The second section "in the Darkness" musically moves through Holy Week. The final part, "Shines" explores letting our light shine with social justice today, and looking to the light of eternity. The concert music ranges from chant and classical motets to folk and Gospel settings, and includes music for choir alone and with a wide range of instruments. The Christus Chorus home concert concludes the choir's Holy Week concert tour to Arizona and California. The concert is free and open to the public. A free will offering will be taken, and choir CDs will be available for purchase.
