Capital Region Chapter of the American Marketing Association Announces Student Marketing Competition Winner

Siena Student Receives $1,000 Prize

ALBANY, NY (05/19/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York Capital Region Chapter of the American Marketing Association is pleased to announce the 2009 Marketing Competition Winner. The winner is Kevin Golebiewski of Siena College. Golelbiewski submitted a marketing plan for Markstrat Firm O, a firm within the Markstrat simulation program used at Siena College.

Many students from across the Capital Region submitted marketing plans to the competition from a variety of business backgrounds. Plans were evaluated on development of situational analysis, price, product, promotion, importance of venture and distributional strategies.

"We had some excellent entries this year," said Courtney Remington, President of the NY Capital Region Marketing Association. "The judges really had their work cut out for them and we would like to thank all who submitted entries. Kevin's plan was well thought-out and creative and we're pleased to announce him as the winner of the 2009 Marketing Plan Competition."

Golebiewski received a $1,000 prize at the May 14th American Marketing Association luncheon. He is a graduating senior.
