ALBANY, NY (05/07/2013)(readMedia)-- The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association (NYCRAMA) announces its April luncheon, "Harnessing the Power of "Big Data" to Predict Consumer Behavior", Thursday, May 16th, 2013 at The Century House, 997 New Loudon Road, Latham, NY from 11:30am-1:15pm. Join NYCRAMA and speaker Laurent Painchaud, Director, Insight & Analytics, Planetarium (a market research, brand planning and communication planning consultancy), as he discusses how understanding your media landscape can demystify "big data" in the context of your consumer base, advertising, communications, CRM and more. From this discussion, attendees will develop a better understanding of the impact of media and consumer touch points on purchasing behavior; how to utilize data to predict consumer behavior; as well as how to utilize value-based segmentation to develop consumer personas. Laurent Painchaud has a background in consumer and marketing research. Prior to joining Planetarium, he was the founder of GeneralAnalytix, and worked for a variety of the world's blue-chip market research organizations. Painchaud also spent time in market research and digital marketing for L'Oreal and worked with companies such as Pepsi, Gillette, P & G, GE, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Allied Domecq, Reebok and Cirque due Soleil.
