Capital Region Mcdonald's Restaurants Sponsoring 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Restaurants Sales of Strawberry Banana Smoothies to Benefit American Cancer Society

GLENMONT, NY (10/02/2012)(readMedia)-- During the month of October 2012, all sales of Strawberry Banana Smoothies in the 70 McDonald's restaurants of the Capital Region will benefit the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program. McDonald's will be the starting sponsor at the walk in Albany's Washington Park on October 21st, which is expected to attract more than 15,000 people.

McDonald's will donate a portion of all October sales of the Strawberry Banana "Pink Smoothie" to the American Cancer Society to support the community's celebration of people that have struggled with breast cancer, to raise awareness about prevention, to raise money to find cures, and to support the programs and services for those facing the disease.

"The McDonald's Owner/Operators of the Capital Region are committed, especially in this challenging economic time, to this community effort to help provide needed resources for breast cancer patients and survivors," said Renee Reardon, president of McDonald's Owner Operators of the Capital Region.
