On Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 4:45 pm, along with eager staff, Mrs. Reardon, owner of the 30-year old restaurant and now the latest to be rebuilt in the Capital Region, will celebrate the opening of the restaurant with a ceremonial flag raising, following three months of construction. Ronald McDonald will be the Master of Ceremonies with a special singing of the National Anthem by Greenwich High School Teacher, Andrea Jacobs-Merlow.

According to Mrs. Reardon, "We, as well as all the McDonald's owners, are committed to giving back to the communities we serve! I am excited to have a new staff of local employees joining the newest location to offer "World Famous" Fries and the newly introduced Premiuim McWraps and Egg White Delight. The construction of this beautiful new building was supervised by Argyle based contractor Hunt Construction. Both Dennis and his son Jason, the project's manager have been involved with over 50 McDonald's remodels. Warrensburg based landscaper Graig Wright worked tirelessly to update the larger than usual sized property with some consulting from Renee's mom Joyce Granger. Joyce has been planting and caring for flowers on the property since 1992 and will be raising the flag during the ceremony Tuesday evening.

The new restaurant, which has continuously contributed to local schools and community organizations such as Glens Area Youth Center and Corinth Dollars for Scholars has 75 employees. In addition, through her annual Reardon Cub Golf Tournament, which has been held for the past 19 years, Team Reardon McDonald's has raised more than $675,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital District. The new restaurant, with its state-of-the-art kitchen, will feature side-by-side drive-thru service, and 104 seats in restaurant, as well as more green space and a new patio.

The opening ceremonies will begin at the Exit 18 site on Tuesday, August 6th at 4:45 pm, with blessing by Father Kenneth Swain, followed by the Flag Raising and a singing of the national anthem. Joining Reardon at the Ribbon Cutting will be special guests Ronald McDonald and the West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company.

McDonald's founder Ray Kroc once made a comment that exemplifies Renee Reardon's philosophy in all aspects of her business:
