Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar Elects McDonald's Franchise Owner as New Board Member

ALBANY, NY (02/29/2008)(readMedia)-- Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar, Inc. elects new Board Member:

At the January Board Meeting of Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar, Inc. Andree Kocian of Saratoga Springs was unanimously voted as the newest Board member of CRSAS. Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar, Inc. is a federally recognized 501© (3), not-for-profit human service agency established to provide academic support to high school students in the Albany, Schenectady and Troy School City Schools. The mission of Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar, Inc. is to assist economically disadvantaged young men and women to graduate from high school and attend college. There are currently 272 students in high school and college.

Andree Kocian is an owner operator of five McDonald’s in the Capital District area. Andree expanded the business from one to five restaurants over the last three years. She oversees all operations and marketing and is responsible fro one hundred and sixty employees. Andree holds two Master’s degrees in education and the other in Business Administration. She spent over a decade working on Wall Street as an Assistant Vice President trading foreign currencies. She worked as an adjunct Professor at St. John’s University. She has done marketing for St. Joseph’s College.
