BURLINGTON, VT (02/09/2010)(readMedia)-- Champlain College's Workforce Development Center and Marlboro College have announced the graduates of its fall 2009 Certificate in Nonprofit Management program.
The intensive four-month series offers nonprofit leaders and staff the opportunity to gain and refine the essential skills needed to strengthen their organizations and achieve their missions. The program combines the best of face-to-face learning with ongoing online learning tools, according to Bridgette Graham of Champlain College. Topics discussed include financial management, strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, human resources, conflict resolution and boards and governance issues.
After completing 10 days of in-person learning and additional online discussion and group work the following students graduated from the Certificate in Nonprofit Management in January.

The spring 2010 session will begin March 12 in Burlington, and March 19 in Springfield. The website is www.go.champlain.edu/nonprofit . Class size is limited to 24 participants at each location. The workshops run from 9 am to 4 pm on 10 days, ending in mid-June. The program was originally designed by Woodbury College and Marlboro College.
