SPRINGFIELD, IL (10/30/2018) (readMedia)-- Capt. Scott Liebhaber of Chicago, was promoted to the rank of major during a ceremony Oct. 11, at the Illinois Military Academy on Camp Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois.

Liebhaber was pinned by Col. Joseph Schweikert of Peoria, Illinois, Chief of Staff of the Illinois Army National Guard.

Liebhaber is the commander for the Illinois Army National Guard's Headquarters Detachment, Joint Force Headquarters based in Springfield, Illinois. Liebhaber took command of the unit in July.
