RIVERDALE, NY (03/12/2012)(readMedia)-- The College of Mount Saint Vincent School of Professional and Continuing Studies presents its fourth Winning Wednesday event of the spring semester, which will focus on cover letters and resume writing on Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
The Winning Wednesday Series is free and open to the public. The series offers professional advice on such topics as resume writing, hiring trends, interviewing skills, and positioning yourself for your ideal job. The workshops also include information on the College's School of Professional and Continuing Studies programs. Details of the workshop are as follows:

The economy has seen better days, and companies are only hiring employees that can bring something new and valuable to the table. A good resume will show employers that you are the person they need to get the job done. This presentation will give you tips on how to make your resume and cover letter stand out from the rest at the next Winning Wednesdays session.
About Winning Wednesdays & Diane Machado
This series was designed with today's adult in mind and all workshops are free and open to the public. The workshops are delivered by the College of Mount Saint Vincent's talented faculty, and expert guest speakers.
Diane Machado, a resident of Yonkers, N.Y., director of Career Development and Internships. She earned her bachelor's in psychology from Fordham University and her master's in student personnel administration at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a past president and member of the Metropolitan New York College Career Planning Officers Association and the National Association of Colleges and Employers. She has worked in higher education for 25 years, specifically 15 years in career development.
