Common Cause/NY on Trump's Attack on Mail-in-Voting

NEW YORK, NY (08/19/2025) (readMedia)-- Yesterday, President Trump vowed to roll back mail-in voting. In response, Susan Lerner, Executive Director of Common Cause/NY issued the following statement:

"Trump's attack on mail-in voting is a scare tactic used to dissuade people from voting. He cannot get rid of mail-in-voting unilaterally. Many Americans, including those overseas and in the military, rely on voting by mail because it's a safe and secure pro-voter method that allows people to vote on their own schedule. This is just the usual dis- and mis-information from a man hungry for power who is afraid to be accountable to the voters."
