Westchester Voters Can Still Cast Their Ballots At The Polls!

Westchester County poll workers are taking precautions as outlined in New York Election Law to ensure every voter can vote via paper ballot

WESTCHESTER, NY (11/03/2026) (readMedia)-- The statewide nonpartisan Election Protection coalition is reminding Westchester County voters that they can still cast their ballots at poll sites, and that they should continue to get out and vote:

"New York's Election Law establishes clear procedures to follow if machines fail at the polls, and Westchester County poll workers are working under bipartisan oversight to ensure every voter can still cast their ballots. Eligible voters should remain on line or head to the polls if they have not yet done so. Ballots are being secured in orange bags specifically designed for this situation, and will all be tracked and counted under strict requirements. We applaud candidates and their campaigns for relaying accurate information to voters, and are pleased to hear voters understand they can still make their voices heard."

Throughout early voting and on Election Day, the Election Protection program has deployed hundreds of poll monitors at poll sites throughout the state to help New Yorkers understand the process, observe for any misconduct, and assist voters in multiple languages. Voters who run into any issues or witness any misconduct are also encouraged to call the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline, where trained legal personnel can answer questions. Language assistance is available through the Election Protection website and the following numbers:

  • 888-VE-Y-VOTA (888-839-8682) – Spanish language hotline
  • 844-YALLA-US (844-925-5287) – Arabic language hotline
  • 888-API-VOTE (888-274-8683) – Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Bangla, Hindi, Urdu and Tagalog hotline
