Community/University Partnership Project Offers Affordable Training Series for Community Organizers

ROCHESTER, NY (01/16/2012)(readMedia)-- During the next four months, a consortium of faculty from local universities including Nazareth College and managers from local nonprofits will be leading a series of training workshops designed to build capacity for established and grassroots nonprofit organizations in the Greater Rochester Area. Individuals from community groups, local nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and local colleges and universities are invited to participate in the Community/University Partnership Project (CUPP) 2012 Academy Training Series. Workshops begin on January 25 and run through April 25. The topics of the workshops range from creating a sustainable financial plan to running effective meetings. Workshops are $5 each for Rochester community members and only $25 for five or more workshops. The Workshop Series will be held on the Nazareth College Campus at 4245 East Ave in Rochester.
