ALBANY, NY (06/01/2009)(readMedia)-- Rabbi Dennis Ross, director of Concerned Clergy for Choice issues the following statement on the murder of Dr. George Tiller of Wichita, KS:

Dr. George Tiller provided compassionate medical care to women who found themselves in difficult medical circumstances with their pregnancies. They got the critical care they needed from Dr. Tiller and his caring staff.

We extend our sympathies to Dr. Tiller's family, friends and colleagues.

We know there are disagreements about many issues in this country, and they should be resolved, as President Obama said, through respectful dialog, not through violence.
