Concordia University Inducts Eden Prairie Resident Into Athletic Hall of Fame

ST. PAUL, MN (10/12/2010)(readMedia)-- Roger Lind '02, of Hopkins, Minn., was inducted into the Concordia University, St. Paul, Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010.

Lind graduated from Hopkins Eisenhower High School in 1976 and went on to play baseball for Concordia in 1981. Lind held a single season home run record of 12 home runs for 25 years. He played first base and catcher for Concordia and was named Most Valuable Player, All-Conference and as part of his record setting home run season, he hit a home run against every conference team that season. Lind was named to the Iowa All-Tournament team for baseball, as well as named All-Conference Second Team honors when he suited up on the football team.

Lind is still involved in athletics as head baseball coach in the Eden Prairie Baseball Association with an AAA Travel Team that he has led to two state championships. He is also a hockey referee for the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) with six MSHSL State Hockey Tournament appearances in his career. Lind works as a sales representative for Greater Midwest Fundraising. He and his wife, Lori, have two children, Luke (15) and Erin (10).
