Summary: Safety in faith communities is an important issue which affects all denominations. Churches, synagogues, mosques and all faith communities are dealing with complex issues associated with crime and safety. There are many questions and uncertainties that face religious decision-makers and other key leaders. The 2011 Faith Community, Crime and Safety Symposium at Concordia University will educate faith leaders about solutions for these problems; presentations will be given by police officers and other experts in the field.
