Coulterville Native enlists in Illinois Army National Guard

SPRINGFIELD, IL (03/02/2018) (readMedia)-- Springfield, Ill. – Pvt. Dylan Hanna, of Coulterville, Illinois, was sworn into the Illinois Army National Guard Feb. 26, at the St. Louis Military Entrance Processing Station.

Hanna enlisted as a 12N, Horizontal Construction Engineer, and is assigned to Company M, Recruit Sustainment Program in Shiloh, Illinois.

Upon completion of his initial training, Hanna will be assigned to the 631st Expeditionary Sustainment Command.

Hanna is a senior at Coulterville High School, Coulterville, Illinois.

After successfully completing his training, Hanna will be eligible for the Illinois National Guard Grant, which pays 100 percent of college tuition while he works as a full-time student and a part-time Soldier. He will also be eligible for the Select Reserve G.I. Bill and federal tuition assistance.

Sgt. 1st Class Dane Patterson of Company M, congratulated Hanna and welcomed him into the Illinois Army National Guard.
