Diverse Menus Highlight Downtown Albany's Restaurant Week October 3-11, 2010

ALBANY, NY (09/24/2010)(readMedia)-- The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) announced its Fall 2010 Restaurant Week will begin Sunday, October 3 and run through Monday (Columbus Day), October 11th.

Eighteen independently-owned restaurants will offer fixed-price, three course meals, normally valued at $35, for the price of $20.10: Albany Pump Station, Amo La Bella, Bayou Cafe, Café Capriccio, Envy, Franklin's Tower, Hudson Harbor Steak & Seafood, Jack's Oyster House, Jillian's, Kelsey's at the Crowne Plaza, La Serre, Savannah's, V & R Italian Ristorante, Victory Café, The Brown Derby, and Katrinella's Bistro. New participants this fall are Dale Miller Restaurant and Tai Restaurant & Lounge. A complete list of Restaurant Week menus is available at www.downtownalbany.org. The Palace Theatre is also offering 'buy-one, get-one' movie tickets to "North by Northwest," part of their SEFCU Classic Movie series playing on October 4th at 7pm. "Downtown Albany is often touted as the destination for finding the best restaurants in the area. This event is a great opportunity to showcase some of those restaurants while allowing them to thank regular patrons with a great deal and enticing new customers to discover a new favorite at a great introductory price."

Since its inception in 2004, Downtown Albany's Restaurant Weeks have had a combined economic impact of more than $3 million.
