ALBANY, NY (08/12/2010)(readMedia)-- Easter Seals New York will host its inaugural Wins for Kids event this Saturday at the Saratoga Race Track. Over 120 Easter Seals New York sponsors, supporters and horse racing enthusiasts are set to attend this fun-filled day while raising funds for children and adults with disabilities or special needs.

The first race of the day will begin at 1pm and the event will feature cocktails, gourmet food stations and live horse racing, including the Wins for Kids horse race named for the fundraiser. All proceeds will assist Easter Seals New York's Camp Colonie, a summer camp located in Cohoes, New York. The camp provides a unique environment for children with disabilities, including the "School Without Walls" program, which is the only State Department of Education certified school of its kind in New York.

"We are looking forward to an exciting and successful event that will aid the Easter Seals mission of providing children with disabilities or special needs with an exceptional camp environment at Camp Colonie," says Richard Lauricella, Incoming Chairman of the Easter Seals Albany Regional Board and Office Administrator of the Albany office of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP.

Easter Seals New York has partnered with sponsors AT&T, CDPHP, CVS, HCA, T-Mobile and Wilson Elser, as well as media sponsors: Mannix Marketing, Times Union and Zergrahm Expeditions to create a fantastic day.

"We are very enthusiastic about our first Wins for Kids event and are privileged to have some great sponsors and supporters," says Easter Seals New York SVP, John W. McGrath. "The event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy live horse racing while benefiting Camp Colonie and the outstanding camp program that it provides for children living with disabilities or special needs"
