PHILADELPHIA, PA (06/20/2011)(readMedia)-- Emanuel Waktola of Silver Spring was named the top graduating student in the management information systems program at La Salle University in Philadelphia. During his time at La Salle, Emanuel participated in the co-op program at McNeil Consumer Healthcare and worked at Shire Pharmaceuticals as an information systems analyst. In addition, he served as an information technology intern at Distinctive Bookbinding. Emanuel has been the winner of several case competitions including the Eller Ethics case competition, Vanguard case competition, and Johnson & Johnson case competition. He has been inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Epsilon Honor societies. Emanuel has volunteered for several organizations including Cradle to Crayons, KPMG, and La Salle's Project on Justice and Society. In fall 2011, he will start a full-time position at KPMG's Auditing Department. He intends to pursue his graduate education and earn an MBA degree.
