Engine Nation for Girls

Program Targeted at Building Girls' Independence

ALBANY, NY (04/04/2013)(readMedia)-- Driving is becoming an important part of a teen's high school years, but do they know what is going on under the hood of the car, basic car maintenance, or what to do in an emergency? Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York has partnered with technicians from Hoffman's Jiffy Lube who will use their expertise to teach girls through a hands-on approach about the care of their car from tire pressure to dashboard warning lights, how to change windshield wiper blades, tires and where to check the fluids that are vital for a car to run properly.
