Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York Responds to New York Gaming Commission's Decision

ALBANY, NY (12/17/2014)(readMedia)-- On behalf of the 15,000 girl and adult members, the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York would like to sincerely express our satisfaction in the New York State Gaming Commission Facility Board's decision today. We would like to thank the volunteers, Girl Scout families and residents of East Greenbush who worked tirelessly in getting our message out. We are excited and relieved that the Girl Scout outdoor camp experience at Camp Is-Sho-Da will continue to thrive and positively impact girls for years to come.

About Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York

At Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York, we are 15k strong - 15,000 girls and adults who believe every girl can change the world. It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon Low, who believed in the power of every girl. Today, we continue her vision of giving girls courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place by helping them discover their inner strength, passions, and talents. With programs in 15 counties in Upstate New York, there are opportunities for every girl to do amazing things. We are the Girl Scouts. To volunteer, reconnect, donate, or join, visit www.gsneny.org.
