KUTZTOWN, PA (11/20/2018) Christmas on the Farm will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University. The event will feature PA Dutch folklife demonstrations, live animals, kid's activities, local folk artists, and more.

Learn about regional folk culture at the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center's annual Christmas on the Farm: a celebration of the holiday season and PA German Christmas traditions. Christmas on the Farm is a free and fun educational event for the whole family and is sure to be filled with many things to do, see, smell, and hear.

Stunning displays of work created by local artisans and craftspeople, as well as a children's craft tent, keep both young and old entertained. Experience historical and cultural live demonstrations featuring hearth cooking, miniature painting, and calligraphy. Terry Berger will be baking PA German sweets like Ox Tongue Cookies, a 7-foot tall Christmas Pyramid will be on display in the house, and The Reading-Berks Guild of Craftsmen will be on site to show guests traditional crafts of the PA Germans.

The Old Time Plow Boys club will keep guests warm with food and drinks, Brenda's Candy will keep stockings stuffed with chocolate goodies, Ellen's Garden will stock your winter pantry, and Yesteryear Collectables has Belsnickels and Santas to get you into the Christmas spirit. Get all your holiday shopping needs met at Christmas on the Farm!

Sarajane Williams' harp music will grace the ears of visitors in the Sharadin farmhouse. In the schoolhouse you will hear stories of the Bunny Brother's Christmas with Dori Hoch and music with Keith Brintzenhoff and Mike Hertzog, as well as experience visits from the Belsnickel and a presentation of The New Year's Wish.
