ALBANY, NY (05/28/2008)(readMedia)-- This conference is the first in a series designed to assess this particular issue and other issues surrounding biofuels from all perspectives. It includes academic, political, and financial perspectives. It is not intended to simply promote biofuels.
Speakers include Pat Hooker, Commissioner of NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, Ruth Horton, NYSERDA, Steve Taylor, NYS Senate Finance, Neil Murphy, SUNY ESF President, Larry Walker, Cornell University, Ray Cross, SUNY Morrisville, James Gennero, Chair, Environmental Protection Committee, NYC Council, Patrick Brennan, USDA State Director of Rural Development Michael Cooper, Ultra Green Energy Services, LLC, Tom Lindberg, VP for Business and Program Development, Mesa Engineering, Joe Dickson, President, Innovation Fuel.
This is an opportunity to engage in discussions about how NYS might develop a biofuels market place, what that market place should look like and where many of the scenarios currently presented might take us. EBA/NYS will generate a report from each of the programs and provide them to the Office of Climate Change Director Peter Iwanowicz. His office has been tasked with the study through which the Governor’s Alternative Energy Task Force “road map” will be developed.
