Evan Cohen of Pittsfield Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Evan Cohen, a member of the Class of 2012 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.
He is the son of Robert and Marcy Cohen of Pittsfield.
Cohen earned a B.S. degree magna cum laude with honor in art at Skidmore's 101st commencement in May at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. In addition, he received the Pamela Weidenman '72 Memorial Prize, named in honor of an alumna and awarded annually to an outstanding senior art major who has achieved excellence in lithography or printmaking.
Cohen earned honors for academic work completed during the spring 2012 semester.
Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
