Local Student Julia Hansen of Sewickley Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (07/02/2013)(readMedia)-- Julia Hansen, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

She is the daughter of Gretchen Hansen of Sewickley, and the late Gregg Hansen.

Hansen earned a B.S. degree cum laude with honor in theater at Skidmore's 102nd commencement in May. In addition, she received the Theater Prize awarded in recognition of a senior theater major who has shown excellence and commitment within a particular concentration in the major.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
