Family Health Fair to Benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

LATHAM, NY (09/05/2007)(readMedia)-- On September 8th, Community Care Physicians is holding their first “Making Strides for a Healthy Family” event to celebrate healthy living for all ages, while raising awareness of the fight against cancer. From 10am to 2pm at the Capital Region Health Park in Latham, local organizations will come together for this event to help kick-off the ‘Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk’ that will take place on October 21st. This event is FREE for the whole family.

Complete with free health screenings, music, and events for kids, this occasion offers the whole family an opportunity to learn about their health, shop for great gifts, visit with local vendors, win great raffles prizes and enjoy a day of healthy fun.

There is something for the whole family at this event. For the kids there will be a bouncity-bounce, a clown, face-painting, Rowdy the Rat from the Albany River Rats, free karate demonstrations, and much more. Adults can participate in various health screenings, get massages, listen to great music, and shop with local vendors. The Colonie Police department will also be on hand to do children identification kits.

Community Care Physicians’ activities are in partnership with the American Cancer Society and NY Oncology Hematology, PC. We encourage you to bring your family and friends to this event and help promote healthier living.
