SATURDAY, May 9, 2015

JACOBS PAVILION at Nautica

Lung Cancer is the number one cancer killer in men and women.

On average, less than half of those diagnosed with lung cancer will be alive one year after diagnosis and only 16% of patients diagnosed with lung cancer will be alive after five years. Compare this with the over 90 percent of breast and prostate cancer patients that survive to the five year mark.

Help fight this deadly killer and other lung diseases by joining the Lung Force Walk, presented by the Cleveland Clinic on Saturday, May 9 at Jacobs Pavilion in the flats next to the powerhouse. This event will generate funds for the education, advocacy and research of lung disease that will ultimately increase awareness, find cures and save lives.

The Lung Force Walk features your choice to walk either a one or three mile route by the river and through downtown Cleveland. Participants will enjoy a day of food, a band on the Nautica Stage, wellness exhibits, yoga instructors to start the walk, raffles, activities for kids and yoga instructors to start the walk.

For additional information, call the American Lung Association at 216-532-8202 or visit LungForce.org.

Together, we can make a difference by empowering women and men to take a stand against lung cancer and other lung diseases.
