Fisher College Participates in Community College of the Air Force's GEM Program

BOSTON, MA (01/18/2011)(readMedia)-- Fisher College in Boston, Massachusetts announced that it will now participate in the Community College of the Air Force General Education Mobile (GEM) program. The program enables U.S. Air Force personnel pursuing an associate's degree to sign up for general education requirements in a single block of courses through its member institutions, and will ensure greater continuity as well as earlier degree completion.

The GEM program grants students the opportunity to take five 3-credit general education courses at participating institutions, accounting for almost one-fourth of the 64 credits required to earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from CCAF. Participating students at Fisher College will be able to choose from a total of 21 approved courses in five areas of required study. All Air Force personnel will receive 10% off their tuition and may also be eligible for federal grants and select scholarships.
