Flash Mobs Celebrate 100 Years of Girl Scouting

ALBANY, NY (09/27/2012)(readMedia)-- Girl Scouts in grades K-12 will participate in a Flash Mob dance at two area malls to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts has long used songs to celebrate friendship and express their commitment to providing girls the opportunity to reach their full leadership potential through the premier leadership development organization for girls.

WHAT:

Girl Scouts will present a flash mob dance set to the Girl Scouts 100th anniversary song, "IGNITE", by Melinda Caroll. It represents a public celebration of 100 years of Girl Scouting and kick-off to the new and familiar opportunities for girls to participate in Girl Scouts as the new school year gets underway.

The flash mobs will take place simultaneously at 5pm on Friday, September 28th, as follows:

Crossgates Mall (1 Crossgates Mall Road, Albany, NY 12203) - upper level near the food court

Aviation Mall (578 Aviation Mall Road, Glens Falls, NY 12804)  - inside the mall near JCPenney
