Four Capital Region High School Players Nominated to McDonald's All American Girls & Boys Basketball Teams

Recognition ceremonies planned at home games in the Capital Region

WHAT: McDonald's Owner Operators of the Capital Region will make a presentation to All American High School Basketball Team nominees at final home games.

This year marks the Eighth Annual Girls McDonald's Game and the 32nd Anniversary of the Boys Game. McDonald's All American games have become a highlight of high school basketball, honoring the best of the best. One thousand nominees will be competing to fill positions at the final game on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in Miami, Fla.

WHO: Nominations from the Capital Region are:

Mariah Stewart of Bishop Maginn High School

Jordan Stevens of Saratoga Springs High School

Chris Pelcher and Tyler Foster of The Albany Academies

WHEN/WHERE: Presentations will be made as follows:

Stewart: Bishop Maginn High School, Albany: Tuesday, February 3, 7:00 pm.

Stevens: Saratoga High School, Saratoga Springs: Thursday, February 12, 7:00 pm.

Pelcher and Foster: The Albany Academies, Albany: Friday, February 13, 6:45 pm.

WHY: The McDonald's All American Game offers a great opportunity to recognize the exceptional student athletes in our area for their accomplishments on and off the basketball court.
