Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York - Adventures For Girls Still Available This Summer

HALFMOON, NY (05/21/2012)(readMedia)-- Girls grades K-12 still have time to register to explore, create and transform their summer with one of more than 170 GS Adventures developed by

and being held in week-long sessions July 8, 2011 through August 17, 2011. Programs range from "Project Runway" and "Deep Woods Cooking" to "Creatures of the Night", "Medieval Maidens", "Horse Haven" and more! Girls are not required to have been Girl Scouts to participate in these GS Adventure programs. Both day and overnight camp programs are offered at locations throughout the 15 counties of the Girl Scout s of Northeastern NY Council: Lake Clear Camp (20 miles from Lake Placid), Hidden Lake Camp (three miles from Lake George), Camp Is-Sho-Da (East Greenbush) and Camp Woodhaven (Galway). For girls who are Cadette level and older, GSNENY also offers two one-week Girl Scout Leadership Experience programs at the Silver Bay YMCA of the Adirondacks, located on northern Lake George.
