Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York Announces Its Recently Appointed Board Members

HALFMOON, NY (10/31/2012)(readMedia)-- Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York (GSNENY) is honored to have three distinguished community leaders accept board member positions at the council.

Sonia Magallanes is from Niskayuna and works as a branch manager with KeyBank in Schenectady, NY. Sonia was a Girl Scout while growing up in the Philippines. She serves on the Board of the Hamilton Hill Art Center and is a member of the Board of the Section 12309 Neighborhood Association in Schenectady. Sonia, who says, "Volunteering is in my blood," is committed to improving the neighborhoods and cultural communities for everyone.

Chandler Ralph is the President and CEO of the Adirondack Medical Center, a leader in bio-medical engineering and healthcare administration located in Saranac Lake, NY. Ralph has transformed the Adirondack Medical Center into a thriving facility with two hospital sites, two nursing homes and four primary care outreach clinics. She is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives, a member of the Board of Trustees for the Healthcare Association of New York State, a member of the Regional Policy Board for the American Hospital Association, board member and chair for the St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Center in Saranac Lake, board member and past President of the Saranac Lake Rotary, board member of the Adirondack Economic Development Corporation, and founder and board chair for the Helena Ptochia Foundation, created to fund the building of a hospital in Ghana specializing in treating young women with fistulas.

Wanda E. Zygmuntowicz is President and COO of CUSTOMERicity, LLC, a successful women-owned idea company that focuses on collaboration and fusing marketing intelligence and creative problem-solving to produce the most creative, memorable and effective communications possible for its clients. For over 30 years, her considerable business marketing and management expertise has been applied to developing strategic communications programs for national and international businesses as diverse as HSBC Bank, Corning, DuPont, Hilton Hotels, the Cancer Research Institute, and serving in management at blue-chip advertising agencies in Chicago and New York.
