LAKE PLACID, NY (09/24/2013)(readMedia)-- LAKE PLACID (September 23, 2013) – High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid opened the application period for its third annual Spring For Hope? initiative, a unique opportunity for a non-profit organization to be awarded free use of meeting space, accommodations, and more at the beautiful Adirondack resort. This year's application deadline is midnight, November 15, 2013; winners will be announced on December 16th.

This opportunity will give a non-profit organization free use of the entire resort for three days during April 2014. Included are two nights' accommodations (up to 133 rooms), free meeting space (up to 10,000 square feet), free audiovisual and meeting support services, and 50 percent off all related catering services.

"This is an outstanding opportunity for the winning organization to do whatever they want with our gift. In the past, winners held fundraisers, hosted academic symposia and offered an R&R retreat to returning veterans. Other ideas include a thank you trip to staff and volunteers to planning an annual meeting or strategic planning retreat. We welcome their creative ideas," noted Bob Trotter, General Manager of High Peaks Resort.

"The past two years have been rewarding for us on a personal level. So, we are proud to once again offer 'Spring for Hope' to give back to our region," added Trotter. "The quality of life in upstate New York is directly impacted by the quality of our non-profit organizations. Spring for Hope has been a way to recognize them and add support to help strengthen the quality of their organizations and deliver on their missions."
