New York Army National Guard fuel handlers training in Kuwait on January 15.

LATHAM, NY (01/17/2014)(readMedia)-- CAMP BUEHRING, KUWAIT -New York Army National Guard Soldiers Specialist Jeffery Pieper, from Hilton, N.Y. and Specialist Sarah Bryant from Blasdell, N.Y. fuel an AH-64 Apache helicopter flown by the Army's 4th Battalion, 227th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, of the 1st Cavalry Division during an exercise here on January 15. The AH-64 Apache unit is currently operating under the control of the New York Army National Guard's 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade.

Perry and Bryant are both members of Company A, 642nd Aviation Support Battalion, which drills at armories in Dunkirk and Olean. The 300 Soldiers of the 642nd Aviation Support Battalion, which has elements in Rochester and Ronkonkoma, along with those in Olean and Dunkirk, deployed to Kuwait in December as part of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade Task Force
