Illinois Soldier Competes in Regional Best Warrior Competition

CAMP DODGE, IOWA (05/12/2017) (readMedia)-- Sgt. Robert Yeagle of DeKalb, Illinois, an ammunition specialist with Company A, 405th Brigade Support Battalion based in Machesney Park, Illinois, was one of two Soldiers to represented the Illinois Army National Guard at the Region IV Best Warrior Competition at Camp Dodge, Iowa, May 8-11.

Yeagle was one of fewer than 15 Soldiers to represent more than 60,000 Army National Guard Soldiers from the seven-state region. The competition tested Yeagle, and others on a variety of Army skills including physical fitness, land navigation, military appearance, and military knowledge. Yeagle was narrowly defeated by Staff Sgt. Daniel Sebo of the Minnesota National Guard.
