John Morris Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/27/2012)(readMedia)-- John Morris, a member of the Class of 2012 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

He is the son of George and Anne Morris, formerly of Westport.

Morris earned a B.S. degree magna cum laude with honor in business at Skidmore's 101st commencement in May. In addition, he received the Jefferson Huff '88 Prize in Business, named in honor of a graduate and awarded to a business student who has a distinguished academic record and has produced an outstanding project in business.

During his Skidmore career, he was elected to membership in Pi Delta Phi, the national French honor society.

He received honors for academic work completed during the spring semester.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
