SPRINGFIELD, IL (05/19/2011)(readMedia)-- • To show the families of Company J, RSP and the community some of the training they are conducting.
• The RSP is for new recruits to the Illinois Army National Guard. The program is used to help prepare the Soldiers for basic and advanced individual training. Once the Soldier has graduated from their advanced individual training, they will report to their assigned unit.
WHO: | • Soldiers with Company J, Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP) |
WHAT: | • Joliet-based unit will conduct a road march and fly in a CH-47 helicopter. • Soldiers will march to the field in Funks Grove, IL (7884 East 550 North Road) and learn all about the CH-47 helicopter. • The Soldiers will then ride on the helicopter to the Illinois Army National Guard armory in Bloomington. (arrive at Bloomington armory around 9:45 a.m.) |
