CLIFTON PARK, NY (02/01/2011)(readMedia)-- Judi Clements, President of Judi Clements Training & Development, has started a new Meetup professional group. The "Seasoned Professional Group" will have its inaugural meeting on Thursday February 24, 2011 at the Clifton Park Panera Restaurant at 2 PM.

This group is designed for employed professionals, as well as, business owners & consultants over 50 years of age who work either full or part time. The purpose of the group is to share ideas about how to stay fresh in one's chosen field as one finds their age group in the minority in the workplace.

According to Clements, "At a time when so many of my contemporaries are retiring, going on cruises, and slowing down, I started this group to connect with experienced professionals who want to keep working into their "golden years."

The group will deal with both the personal and professional side of working in an ever-changing technological environment. They will talk about balancing work and home, as well as, dealing with spouses, family, and friends who have already retired and are urging others to do the same.

Clements started the group under the umbrella of the Internet site "Meetup". Meetup is the world's largest network of local, self-organized groups that meet face-to-face to exchange ideas. Currently more than 2,000 Meetup groups get together in local communities throughout the world. Meetup believes that people can change their personal world, or the whole world, by organizing themselves into groups that are powerful enough to make a difference.
