CLIFTON PARK, NY (03/23/2009)(readMedia)-- Judi Clements Training & Development has launched a new training program that trains staff and managers in the art and science of on-the-job training.
According to Clements, "One way organizations are coping with budget cutbacks is by utilizing in-house employees to deliver necessary training. Employees are often experts at their trade, but novices at teaching it to others. This program helps them understand the do's and don'ts when teaching workplace skills."
Clements' workshop, "On-the-Job Training Made Simple," emphasizes that there is more to on-the-job training than just teaming new employees with experienced ones and hoping the new ones learn by osmosis. She urges companies not to make the mistake of forcing customers to suffer slow, inaccurate service while new employees get "broken in". That's how you can lose customers. Clements' program helps professionalize on-the-job training and ensure new employees get the training they need without sacrificing quality service.
According to Clements, "My goal is to remove the doubt and stage fright new trainers often feel when they begin an on-the-job training assignment. With the right skills, these trainers can use their new training responsibility as an opportunity for advancement."
Clements has been selected by the Hudson Mohawk American Society of Training & Development (www.hmastd.org) to present this program at their 2009 Annual Conference entitled "How Do You Measure Up" on Friday March 27th at the Holiday Inn on Wolf Road.
As president of Clifton-Park based Judi Clements Training & Development, Clements delivers corporate training and keynote speeches in the areas of supervision, communication, wellness, & customer service. Her programs are known for their interactivity; trainees stay engaged through discussion, case studies, simulations, & role plays. She can be reached at 518-371-918.
