Key Named NCCAA Player of the Week

CLEARWATER, FL (02/10/2014)(readMedia)-- Clearwater Christian College guard, Michael Key, was named NCCAA Player of the Week for his superb performance on the basketball court for the CCC Cougars. Key helped CCC raise its overall record 2-1 with excellent offense and defensive play this past weekend against strong teams from Piedmont, Bob Jones, and Toccoa Falls universities. In the game against Piedmont, Key scored 45 points, 31 of which came in the second half and in overtime including 15 of 19 from the free-throw line. Michael registered a double-double in the Cougar's win against BJU. For the three game weekend, Key averaged 31.67 points, 8 rebound, 2 steals, 4.67 assists and 3.33 blocks per game.

Michael Key graduated in 2010 from Davie County High School in Mocksville, NC,  and reside in nearby Cooleemee. Michael is a junior enrolled in the Physical Education major.
