Local Student Receives Student Athlete of the Week Award
CLEARWATER, FL (10/30/2013)(readMedia)-- Dana Medich of Zanesville, Ohio, senior outside hitter and humanities major from Clearwater Christian College, led her women's volleyball team against two NJCAA I nationally ranked top 20 teams and the #1 team in the USCAA. Medich competed consistently well throughout this week, scoring three double/doubles for her hitting and digging performance. She averaged 3.8 kills per set for the week, 3.6 digs per set, and now has a total 22 matches for the season where she has scored a double/double. Medich also achieved a season milestone during the final match of the tournament by recording her 500th kill for the 2013 year.
This is the second time this season Medich has been received the Student Athlete of the Week award. She has played a key role in the Lady Cougars' success this season.
Medich is a graduate of Zanesville Christian School and the daughter of Paul and Rose Medich, also of Zanesville.
