Lawmakers, Let NY Vote Rally for Votings Rights in the Remaining Days of Session

Group pushes for food and water on voting lines, plain language on ballots, and more

ALBANY, NY (05/01/2023) (readMedia)-- On Tuesday, Members of the Let NY Vote Coalition – including Common Cause/NY, NYPIRG, Citizens Union – will join with Assembly Members Burgos and Dinowitz to rally in support of a comprehensive voting rights package and call on Albany lawmakers to pass the set of bills before session ends. The bills include: voter controlled ballots, food and water on voting lines, expanding absentee voting, plain language on ballots, and more.

The Let NY Vote coalition - a statewide network of over 175 member organizations - is a leading voice on common sense election reform since 2017. Together, they've advocated for -- and won -- early voting, automatic voter registration, electronic poll books, and more.
