ST. PAUL, MN (05/27/2011)(readMedia)-- Concordia University, St. Paul student Biljana Uzelac of Lino Lakes, Minn., gave the farewell address to her fellow graduates during the university's commencement ceremony May 14, at 2 p.m., in the Gangelhoff Center on the Concordia campus. Uzelac graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Management.
Biljana spoke to her fellow graduates about experiences in her personal and professional life and how those experiences have shaped the person she is today. Fifteen years ago, Uzelac called Bosnia home. At that time, she and her family decided to embark on a journey to the United States in search of a better life. Nine months after arriving in the United States, she graduated as Salutatorian of her high school. Uzelac holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Hamline University and works as a supply chain planner at Land O' Lakes, Inc.
