Local NOW Chapter to Meet at Stony Brook University

ALBANY, NY (09/04/2007)(readMedia)-- Meet the movers and shakers working for positive change!

NOW Chapters around New York State are gearing up to continue the fight to win equality for women. Because of recent rulings by the US Supreme Court, now more than ever, activists are determined to address the issues that affect women in their daily lives.

The Mid-Suffolk Chapter of NOW (National Organization for Women) will hold its September meeting on the 29th, Saturday, 10:00-Noon. All are welcome.

Informal get-together, meet new officers, exchange ideas on women’s issues, such as Pay Equity, Child Custody, Personal Privacy Laws, Equal Rights Amendment and Domestic Violence.

Refreshments will be served.

New Location for the meeting is the Old Chemistry Building # 18 SUNY Stony Brook Campus, Women’s Studies Colloquium Meeting Room.
