Local Student Anne Dufault of Pepperell Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Anne Dufault, a member of the Class of 2012 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.
She is the daughter of Peter Dufault and Janet Glenn of Pepperell.
Dufault earned a B.S. summa cum laude with honor in theater at Skidmore's 101st commencement in May at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
In addition, she received two academic awards: the Arts Administration Faculty Award, awarded to a graduating senior with a minor in arts administration who has demonstrated academic excellence and shows extraordinary promise for a career in the field; and the Margaret Ellen Clifford Memorial Prize in Theater, established in honor of a former professor and awarded annually to an outstanding theater major.
Dufault also earned an award this year from the Stephanie Mnookin Theater Department Research and Creative Project Fund which provides for grants to be awarded by Skidmore's Theater Department to support student theater projects.
Dufault earned honors for academic work completed during the spring 2012 semester.
Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
