Local Student Anne Wisan of Peterborough Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (07/01/2010)(readMedia)-- Anne Wisan, a member of the Class of 2010 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.
She is the daughter of Jane Wisan of Peterborough, N.H., and Mark Wisan of New York, N.Y.
Wisan earned a B.A. degree cum laude with honor in music at Skidmore's 99th commencement in May.
She also earned the Periclean Scholar Award. The prize is presented to four graduating seniors who have completed outstanding senior projects. Wisan was recognized for her senior voice recital, presented in April at the college.
Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
