Local Student Benjamin Chadwick of Ossining Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (07/01/2010)(readMedia)-- Benjamin Chadwick, a member of the Class of 2010 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

He is the son of Elise and Michael Chadwick of Ossining.

Chadwick earned a B.A. degree cum laude with honor in neuroscience and psychology at Skidmore's 99th commencement in May. In addition, he received the Hartnett Prize in Neuroscience, awarded annually to a senior who conducts neuroscience research of outstanding quality.

He earned high honors for academic work completed during the spring semester at the college.

Chadwick also was elected to membership in the Skidmore chapter of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
