Local Student Emily Pacilio of Utica earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/26/2012)(readMedia)-- Emily Pacilio, a member of the Class of 2012 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.
She is the daughter of Laurence and Lyn Pacilio of Utica.
Pacilio earned a B.S. degree magna cum laude with honor in dance at Skidmore's 101st commencement in May. In addition she received the Oleg Moston Award, established in honor of a pianist in the Dance Department, to help support an outstanding young artist's transition into the dance profession.
She earned honors for academic work completed during the spring semester.
Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
