Local Student Grace Troxell of Enola Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/28/2013)(readMedia)-- Grace Troxell, a member of the Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.
She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Robert Troxell of Enola.
Troxell earned a B.S. degree cum laude with honor in art at Skidmore's 102nd commencement in May. In addition, she received the Jesse Solomon Memorial Award, awarded to the senior who shows promise in painting.
Troxell also was one of four students selected to receive a Periclean Scholar Award this spring. The award, presented by Skidmore's Periclean Honors Forum, recognizes outstanding senior projects.
Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
