Local Student James Eads of Los Angeles Earns Academic Recognition at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (06/16/2011)(readMedia)-- James Eads, a member of the Class of 2011 at Skidmore College, earned academic recognition at the college this spring.

He is the son of Paul and Mindy Eads of Los Angeles.

Eads earned a B.S. degree cum laude with honor in art at Skidmore's 100th commencement in May. In addition, he received the Pamela Weidenman '72 Memorial Prize, named in honor of an alumna and presented annually to an outstanding senior art major who has achieved excellence in lithography and/or printmaking.

Eads earned highest honors for academic work completed this spring.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students. The college grants the bachelor's degree in some 60 majors, including both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional programs. Skidmore also awards the master of arts in liberal studies degree.
